IN 2005 ELECTION PRINCE JOHNSON PETITIONED FOR SENATORIAL SEAT

The former leader of the defunct Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia (INPFL) and now an Evangelist, Prince Youdo Johnson who recently returned home has been petitioned by citizens of Nimba County to contest the post Senator in 2005 elections.

The Nimba citizens in their petition said their decision to petitioned Evangelist Johnson is due to his many contributions and concern for their county. "We believed that with the election of Evangelist Johnson as senator the conflict between the Mano, Gio, Mandingo and Krahn will be resolved through."

Responding, the former rebel leader praised his fellow compatriots for their support and encouragement given him since his arrival back home from Nigeria. He also pleaded with the Nimba citizens to love one another for the growth and development of their county.

He admonished his fellow Nimba citizens to concentrate on the unification of its citizens to ensure lasting peace, understanding and national unity. "Liberia was build on Christian Principle, so we Liberians should live by that founding principles," he noted.

He lamented that corruption at government sectors was creating a big gap of instability, thus shifting the country into what he called "deprivation." He congratulated the petitioners for their petition and ensure them his continue commitment in seeking the welfare of the county.
